We're headed back to a time when life was easy, life was good — the 1950s and the sweet vocal harmonies of the
Doo-Wop era! If that's your style then you'll thoroughly enjoy this musical tribute to three legendary Doo-Wop artists: The Drifters, The Coasters and The Platters.
The Drifters delivers the same style, charisma and history that existed in the earlier days of the group. From the release of Money Honey on, they offered a blend of tasteful music and class, all wrapped up in their famous patented choreography. Other classics include There Goes My Baby, This Magic Moment, Save the Last Dance.
The Coasters were the supreme comedians of rock and roll, and the first vocal group to be inducted into the rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Their songs, parodies and tunes combined to produce million-selling records and they are enjoying a much-heralded revival. Hitting the stage and playing hits like “Yakety Yak” and “Charlie Brown” and “Down In Mexico” has left audiences screaming for more!
Formed in 1953, The Platters cranked out multiple hits that vaulted them to stardom, and tagged them as the most popular vocal group of the ‘50s. Logging four number one songs and 16 gold records, the group recorded the ballad Only You in 1955 and the rest, as they say, is history. Other hits included the Great Pretender and Smoke Gets in Your Eyes.
