Jackson Browne

Jackson Browne has written and performed some of the most literate and moving songs in popular music and has defined a genre of songwriting charged with honesty, emotion and personal politics. He was honored with induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004, and the Songwriter's Hall of Fame in 2007. Tracing the roots of Browne's career leads back to the mid-60s and Los Angeles and Orange County folk clubs. His debut album was released in 1972. Since then, Jackson has released a total of eighteen albums. Jackson Browne's overall body of work was celebrated in 2004 with the release of the 2CD compilation The Very Best of Jackson Browne, featuring 32 songs selected from throughout his career.
